CREATED BY Alexandra Logushova
Hello! My name is Alexandra Logushova. I am a student, researcher, and creator currently based in Mexico. I was born in Kyrgyzstan where I first discovered the joys of capturing my surrounding world, through my dad’s old Soviet polaroid camera.
Eventually, my creative passions evolved into photography and experimental filmmaking, which draw on inspiration from both the natural world and urban structures/architecture.
Living abroad between Vietnam, Thailand, and Sweden, I was lucky enough to meet incredible artists and architects along the way who taught me everything I know.
Artists that have inspired me include: Pierre Yovanovitch, Yayoi Kusama, Olivia Zheng, Ana Mello, and friends. My style involves experimental zoom work that challenges norms related to “amateur” and “professional” work, by blurring the lines between clarity and objectiveness through intimate details.
For my next steps - I want to learn more about industrial & graphic design and continue playing with the boundaries between the “real” and unreal.
